Taylor

Taylor Swift was a rarity in pop culture: she was the only superstar to have transitioned from the traditional to the mainstream, and to become a pop icon worldwide. Swift left her heritage in country music as if she was a second skin and proved that she was the most refined pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only musician/singer to be a part of the trending zeitgeist and take it out on the road. Swift's early hits, especially the neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off her talents. The album from 2008 Fearless showcased a writer who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States, where six of its singles have been certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across the globe. Speak Now delivered almost two years later consolidated that popularity and pushed Swift towards the top of superstardom. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), the popularity of Swift grew, and she was able to enter the world of pop music where it was clear that she deserved to be. As she cut her style by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore, and Evermore, she still remained on top. It was a position that was confirmed with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalog, as well as Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
