Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress Director Producer and vocalist. She's a beautiful, talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to be successful in Hollywood. After a series of appearances in popular television shows and movies, she gained fame when she was featured in her role in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shiii. The same year, she also portrayed part in the leading roles of some films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters from animated films such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen movie, did not yield results. Southland's critically acclaimed series on police, Southland and a recurring role helped Liu re-establish her role as an actress. Liu chooses her roles carefully to avoid being disregarded in an industry that is highly competitive. She's accepted her Chinese heritage, but she hasn't let it restrict her creativity.
